| The aim URL scheme is used by AOL Instant Messenger for automatically creating an Instant Message, a chat room, or a Buddy List entry. These URLs can be generated for you (if you have spaces in your screen name, type it without the spaces). For the aim URL scheme to function on your computer, your system must be configured for it: the procedure is different on different Operating Systems (Windows, Mac OS, Mac OS X). I think for Windows it's the Registry, for Mac OS it's Internet Config, and for Mac OS X it's Launch Services.
